Faridabad's advantage: a direct route
Faridabad has a genuine geographic advantage over most of NCR for reaching our clinic. Mathura Road runs almost directly from Faridabad to the Lajpat Nagar area, with no cross-city navigation and no expressway bottleneck.
Old Faridabad, Sectors 15, 16, 21 and the NIT area typically reach Lajpat Nagar in 35 to 45 minutes outside peak hours. Ballabgarh and the southern sectors add roughly fifteen minutes.
The route is also more predictable than the DND or the Delhi-Gurgaon stretch, which means the journey time you plan for is closer to the journey time you get.
Several of our Faridabad patients attend in person throughout their programme rather than switching to video, simply because the trip is manageable.
The Violet Line advantage
This is the part most Faridabad patients do not realise: the Violet Line runs from Faridabad directly to Lajpat Nagar station with no interchange at all.
Escorts Mujesar, Bata Chowk, Neelam Chowk Ajronda, Old Faridabad, Sector 28 and Badarpur Border all sit on the line, and Lajpat Nagar is a direct ride from any of them.
For patients without a car, or who prefer not to drive into Delhi, this makes Faridabad one of the easiest NCR locations to reach us from.
Lajpat Nagar station is a short distance from the clinic, and our team can give you walking directions when you book.
Faridabad's industrial belt and shift work
Faridabad's manufacturing and industrial employment base means a significant number of patients work rotating or night shifts, which is worth raising explicitly at assessment.
Shift work disrupts circadian rhythm, which independently affects appetite hormones, insulin sensitivity and where the body stores fat. Night shift workers have measurably higher rates of obesity and type 2 diabetes.
It also complicates practical things: which day to inject, when to eat, and how to maintain meal structure across a rotating roster.
We plan injection timing and meal structure around your actual roster rather than assuming a standard working day, which makes a considerable difference to adherence.
Combining your visit with other care
Because the Mathura Road route is direct, Faridabad patients frequently combine their consultation with other appointments in South Delhi rather than making a dedicated trip.
If you are already travelling to Delhi for other medical care, scheduling your dose review the same day is worth asking about when you book.
We can usually accommodate timing requests around other commitments, particularly for patients travelling from outside Delhi.
Mentioning where you are travelling from when you book also lets us advise on timing to avoid the worst of the Mathura Road traffic in both directions.

What your first Faridabad consultation covers
The first appointment is a clinical assessment. Expect questions about your weight history, every diet or medication tried before, your current medication list, and family history relevant to the exclusions.
You will be screened for weight-related conditions — sleep apnoea symptoms, PCOS in women, joint problems and reflux — because these change both eligibility thresholds and treatment priorities.
Height, weight, BMI, waist circumference and blood pressure are recorded as your baseline for every subsequent review.
You should leave knowing whether treatment is appropriate for you, what it would cost at your likely dose, and what the programme involves month by month.
Not sure if you qualify?
Send us your details and our clinical team will review them. We will tell you honestly whether treatment is appropriate for you in Faridabad — and if it is not, what would suit you instead. No obligation.
Mon–Sat, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM · Online or in-clinic consultation · Reply within minutesLearning to inject and storing your medicine
You are taught to self-inject in person and given the chance to practise before doing it alone. The needle is very fine, and most patients find the anticipation worse than the injection.
The medicine goes into the fat layer under the skin — abdomen, thigh or upper arm — rotating the site weekly to prevent lumps and inconsistent absorption.
Let the pen reach room temperature before injecting; cold medicine stings noticeably more. Pens require refrigeration and must never be frozen.
Needle anxiety is common and worth raising rather than struggling with silently — there are practical approaches that help.
How GLP-1 medicines work
GLP-1 is a hormone your gut releases after eating. It signals fullness to the brain, slows how quickly the stomach empties, and supports insulin release when blood glucose rises.
GLP-1 receptor agonists mimic this hormone but persist far longer, which is why most are weekly rather than after every meal. Tirzepatide, marketed as Mounjaro, activates both GIP and GLP-1 receptors.
Published trials report average total body weight reductions of roughly 20% at the highest tirzepatide doses over about 72 weeks, with diet and activity support alongside.
Patients typically describe the constant mental noise about food quietening, rather than feeling forcibly unable to eat.
Who qualifies, and who does not
The framework is a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 or above with a weight-related condition — type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, hypertension, sleep apnoea, PCOS or fatty liver disease.
South Asian patients develop metabolic complications at lower BMI than European populations, so several guidelines apply lower thresholds. We assess waist circumference and metabolic markers alongside BMI.
Treatment is not prescribed with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2 syndrome, a history of pancreatitis, in pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with planned conception soon.
If you do not qualify, a doctor should say so plainly and explain what would suit you instead.
Protecting muscle, not just losing weight
A meaningful share of weight lost is lean tissue unless protein intake and resistance training are actively managed. Two patients losing identical kilograms can end up in very different places.
Muscle is metabolically active. Losing it lowers your resting energy expenditure permanently unless rebuilt, which makes maintaining your result considerably harder after treatment ends.
Protein at every meal, distributed across the day rather than concentrated at dinner, is the main countermeasure. Your dietitian should give you a target in grams, not a vague instruction.
Resistance training two or three times weekly does far more for lean mass than cardiovascular exercise. Both have a place; only one addresses this specific risk.
When injections are not the right answer
At a BMI of 40 and above, or 35 and above with serious weight-related disease, bariatric surgery produces substantially larger and more durable results.
For a defined, time-limited intervention without surgery, the Allurion swallowable balloon occupies stomach volume for around sixteen weeks with no anaesthesia or endoscopy.
Below the treatment threshold, dietitian-led management is the appropriate route and prescribing an injectable would not be.
A clinic offering only injections cannot give you this comparison honestly. We offer four routes, which is what allows a genuine recommendation.
Warning signs when choosing a clinic
Be cautious of anywhere prescribing injectable medicines without a proper doctor consultation — the clearest sign of a clinic treating a prescription medicine as a retail product.
Compounded or unbranded tirzepatide and semaglutide circulate at lower prices across NCR. They are not quality-assured, dosing cannot be verified, and regulators have issued warnings after adverse events.
Guaranteed weight loss figures, pressure to buy prepaid packages on a first visit, and no dietitian involvement are all meaningful gaps.
A short commute is worth little if the clinic behind it is not managing your safety properly.
