Greater Noida is typically 60 to 90 minutes from our Lajpat Nagar clinic. Most patients attend once in person for assessment and injection training, then complete the rest of their programme by video.

Being realistic about the distance
Greater Noida spans a large area — Pari Chowk, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta and Omega sectors, Knowledge Park, Surajpur, Sigma, Techzone, and the Gaur City and Noida Extension belt on the western edge.
From most of this area, our Lajpat Nagar clinic is 60 to 90 minutes each way via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and then the DND. In peak traffic that can stretch further.
That is a three-hour round trip for a twenty-minute dose review. We do not pretend otherwise, and we do not think you should schedule that monthly for several months.
This is the single clearest case for video consultation in the whole NCR, and it is why the majority of our Greater Noida patients use it.
What one in-person visit actually achieves
We generally recommend attending in person once, for the initial assessment and injection training. Being shown the technique directly, with the chance to practise, is meaningfully better than video for a first-time self-injector.
Height, weight, waist circumference and blood pressure are recorded at that visit as your baseline, and you leave knowing your dose schedule and what the programme involves.
After that, scheduled dose reviews, side-effect management and nutrition support are all handled by video for most patients.
If a new symptom needs physical assessment, an in-person visit is arranged specifically for that concern rather than every review defaulting to a trip.
How video reviews actually work
A dose review covers your weight trend, waist measurement, how you tolerated the current dose, your nutritional intake and any side effects. None of that requires physical presence.
You are asked to weigh weekly at the same time under consistent conditions, and record waist measurement fortnightly. Bringing those numbers to a video review makes it considerably more productive than an in-person visit where you guess.
Dose decisions are made the same way and documented the same way as for an in-person patient. The clinical standard does not change with the mode.
WhatsApp support between appointments covers the questions that come up mid-cycle, which for remote patients is often more valuable than the reviews themselves.
Greater Noida's growing metabolic health problem
Greater Noida has grown rapidly, with large residential townships built around car dependency rather than walkability, and long commutes into Noida and Delhi for a significant share of residents.
That combination — long sedentary commutes, limited walkable infrastructure, and irregular eating around travel time — is strongly associated with weight gain, prediabetes and fatty liver disease.
Patients frequently arrive having tried repeatedly to build an exercise routine around a commute that leaves no time for one, and concluded the failure is theirs.
It usually is not. The physiology of appetite regulation does not care how motivated you are, which is the point of treating obesity medically rather than as a discipline problem.

Injection technique when you are learning remotely
The medicine goes into the fat layer just under the skin — abdomen, front of thigh, or back of upper arm. Rotate the site weekly rather than using the same spot.
Let the pen reach room temperature before injecting. Cold medicine stings noticeably more, and this single step makes the biggest practical difference for most patients.
Hold the pen in place for the full count you were shown so the complete dose is delivered — withdrawing early is a common error that patients often do not realise they are making.
Pens require refrigeration and must never be frozen. A frozen pen is discarded, not thawed and used, regardless of how normal it looks.
Not sure if you qualify?
Send us your details and our clinical team will review them. We will tell you honestly whether treatment is appropriate for you in Greater Noida — and if it is not, what would suit you instead. No obligation.

Greater Noida's commute pattern means many patients eat their largest meal late, after getting home, which is the hardest pattern to sustain weight loss against.
Shifting the largest meal earlier where possible, and keeping a protein-forward option available for the post-commute window, tends to work better than trying to eliminate late eating entirely.
Resistance training two or three times weekly does more for preserving muscle than cardiovascular exercise, and home-based work with minimal equipment is equally effective for most patients starting out.
We plan around your actual routine rather than a theoretical one, because a plan that assumes a 7pm gym session you will never make is not a plan.
Why these work when dieting has not
Most patients arriving at our clinic have lost weight before and regained it. That pattern reflects how the body defends against weight loss, not a failure of willpower.
After weight loss, hunger and satiety hormones shift in a direction that promotes intake, and resting metabolic rate falls. These adaptations persist for a long time.
GLP-1 medicines act directly on that hormonal signalling, which is why a calorie deficit becomes achievable without the daily willpower battle that defeats most diets.
This reframes obesity as a chronic condition with a biological basis — which is also why it needs medical supervision rather than a retail transaction.
Who qualifies, and who does not
The framework is a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 or above with a weight-related condition — type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, hypertension, sleep apnoea, PCOS or fatty liver disease.
South Asian patients develop metabolic complications at lower BMI than European populations, so several guidelines apply lower thresholds. We assess waist circumference and metabolic markers alongside BMI.
Treatment is not prescribed with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2 syndrome, a history of pancreatitis, in pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with planned conception soon.
If you do not qualify, a doctor should say so plainly and explain what would suit you instead.
Side effects and how they are managed
The great majority are digestive — nausea, reduced appetite, constipation, diarrhoea and reflux — usually mild to moderate, strongest after a dose increase, and settling as the body adapts.
Practical management works: smaller meals more often, stopping at the first sign of fullness, eating slowly, and avoiding fried or very rich food in the days after an increase.
Serious effects are uncommon but real. Severe abdominal pain radiating to the back can indicate pancreatitis; severe upper-right pain may indicate gallbladder disease. Both need same-day contact.
You should receive written guidance on urgent symptoms before starting, plus a route to reach someone outside clinic hours.
What happens when you stop
Appetite returns when the medicine is withdrawn. Published follow-up of semaglutide discontinuation reported participants regaining roughly two thirds of lost weight within about a year without support.
This is not a failure of the medicine. It reflects obesity being a chronic condition, in the same way blood pressure rises again after stopping antihypertensives.
Discontinuation should be planned and tapered with increased nutrition support and closer monitoring, rather than simply stopping when a target is reached.
Some patients continue long term, some taper to a maintenance dose, some move to another approach. That decision is made with your doctor.
Why the doctor matters more than the distance
The medicine is chemically identical wherever it is prescribed. What differs is the assessment before it, the dose decisions during it, and the follow-up around it.
Dr. Rajat Goel is a Gold Medalist surgeon with over 25 years in practice, holding MBBS, MS, DNB and MNAMS with fellowships including FAIS, FICS, FACS, FMAS, FIAGES and FALS, plus FMIS (Singapore) and FMBS (Taiwan).
His experience spans over 2000 bariatric procedures, 17000 laparoscopic surgeries, more than 1300 patients on GLP-1 programmes and over 500 Allurion balloon patients.
A doctor who also performs bariatric surgery can tell you honestly when injections are unlikely to be enough for your BMI — which is why patients travel from Greater Noida rather than choosing the nearest prescriber.
