WEIGHT LOSS CLINIC IN DELHI

What proper supervision looks like, and the warning signs to avoid.

Delhi has no shortage of weight loss clinics, and the quality varies enormously. This explains what genuine medical supervision involves, what should concern you, and the questions worth asking before you hand over money.

In short

A proper weight loss clinic assesses before it prescribes, offers more than one treatment route, employs qualified dietitians, and tells you honestly when a treatment is not appropriate for you.

Medical clinic or slimming centre?

The distinction matters. A medical weight loss clinic is led by a qualified doctor who can assess obesity as a clinical condition, order investigations, prescribe medicines and perform or refer for surgery.

A slimming centre typically sells packages of treatments without medical assessment. Neither is inherently wrong, but only one can treat obesity as the medical condition it is.

What a proper assessment includes

Weight history, previous attempts and what happened. Full medication list. Family history of diabetes and thyroid disease. Screening for sleep apnoea, PCOS, fatty liver and joint problems.

Blood work covering glucose, thyroid, liver, kidney, lipids and key vitamins. Body composition where available. BMI and waist measurement together, since BMI alone under-reads risk in South Asian patients.

Warning signs

Prescribing injectable medicines without blood work or a doctor consultation. Selling compounded or unbranded versions of prescription drugs. Guaranteeing a specific weight loss figure.

Pressure to pay for long packages on the first visit. No dietitian involvement. No plan for what happens when treatment ends. Any of these should give you pause.

Treatments a full-service clinic should offer

Medical weight management with dietitian support. GLP-1 and dual-agonist injectable programmes. A non-surgical option such as the swallowable gastric balloon. Bariatric surgery for higher BMI.

Offering only one route is a warning in itself, because it means every patient receives the same answer regardless of their situation.

Questions worth asking

Who will actually assess me, and what are their qualifications? What blood tests will you run? Which treatment do you recommend for me specifically, and why? What will it cost per month at the dose I am likely to need?

What happens if I do not tolerate it? What support is included? What is the plan for stopping? A clinic that cannot answer these clearly is not giving you enough to decide.

What we do at Hindivine

Assessment by Dr. Rajat Goel, a gold medalist surgeon with 25+ years of experience, over 2000 bariatric procedures and more than 1300 GLP-1 patients.

Four treatment routes rather than one, dietitian-led nutrition support throughout, and an honest recommendation — including telling you when no treatment is appropriate yet.

What follow-up should actually look like

Reviews should be scheduled rather than left to you to request. Each should cover weight trend, waist measurement, side effects, nutritional intake and relevant blood markers.

You should leave every review knowing what changes and why. A clinic that simply repeats the prescription without assessment is not supervising your treatment.

The role of the dietitian

Any weight loss route that reduces intake creates nutritional risk. Protein, iron, vitamin B12, vitamin D and calcium are the usual concerns, and after bariatric surgery this becomes lifelong.

A qualified clinical dietitian builds a plan around what you actually eat rather than handing over a printed chart. If a clinic has no dietitian involvement, that is a meaningful gap.

Questions about credentials

Ask who performs the procedures and what their training is. For bariatric surgery, ask about case volume, which correlates with outcomes. Ask where surgery is performed and what happens if a complication occurs.

For injectable programmes, ask who prescribes, who reviews, and how side effects are handled outside clinic hours.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best weight loss clinic in Delhi?
Look for a doctor-led clinic offering multiple treatment routes, proper assessment with blood work, dietitian support and honest advice about what suits you.
How much does weight loss treatment cost in Delhi?
It varies by route. Injectable programmes carry a recurring monthly cost; surgery is a larger one-off. Consultation should set this out clearly.
Do I need a referral to visit a weight loss clinic?
No. You can book a consultation directly by phone, WhatsApp or through this website.
Can I get treatment if I live outside Delhi?
Yes. First consultations are available by video, with blood work arranged locally.
What if I do not qualify for injections?
There are other routes, including dietitian-led programmes, the gastric balloon and surgery. A good clinic will explain which fits.
